Vintage People Collection 1
I’ve been fascinated by Victorian carte de visites and cabinet cards since childhood, and I put this enduring interest down to my close relationship with my grandmother. Nana was one of thirteen children (all born during the reign of Queen Victoria), and as the youngest, she eventually became the curator of many wonderful family photos, some of which I’ve used to create digital stamps for you here.
One of the digital stamps in this collection is a Photoshoped cabinet card of my great-great grandmother reading with a magnifying glass. This amazing woman raised seven children and ran a school for girls in London. Several of the other images were originally used in my book Creating from the Inside Out.

Vintage People Collection 2
In this collection I’ve included a stamp of Nana’s tiny oldest sister, Emily, with her daughter Vera who is drawing the curtain aside. Nana had several nieces who were older than she was, and Vera was one of them. One of my favorite images in this collection is the artist in the lower right hand corner. I have no idea who he is, but the picture was taken in Wrexham, North Wales, only a few miles from where my mother grew up on the River Dee. I’ve included a copy of the cabinet card below so you can see what the original looked like before I started working with it in Photoshop.
